Razer™, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, announced that its immensely popular DeathAdder mouse is upgraded and set for launch.

Originally released in 2006, the Razer DeathAdder has become legendary for its combination of ergonomics and precision. It remains the world’s best-selling gaming mouse, used by countless pro gamers in the circuit as their preferred weapon of annihilation.

The new Razer DeathAdder’s optical sensor was upgraded from 3.5G to a cutting-edge 4G infrared sensor with improved performance and precision. It is the world’s most powerful optical sensor, achieving up to 6400 dpi resolution without sacrificing the natural tracking feel of an optical sensor or yielding the robotic sensation of a comparable laser option.

The iconic right-handed ergonomic shape that gamers have come to love in the DeathAdder has been retained; however, it has been further enhanced with built-in textured rubber side grips for better mouse control and grip.

Like its predecessor, the new Razer DeathAdder will feature Synapse 2.0 support for effortless synching of settings and profiles automatically with the cloud. Razer Synapse 2.0 is an innovative proprietary software that intuitively functions as the Razer DeathAdder’s brain – automatically syncing the gaming mouse to a remote server to download driver and firmware updates, as well as save individual game settings.

“We didn’t want to fix anything that wasn’t broken,” said Robert “RazerGuy” Krakoff, president of Razer USA. “We focused instead on enhancing and optimizing the proven merits of the Razer DeathAdder, utilizing next generation technologies and further ergonomics tweaks to make a perfect gaming mouse even better.”

About the New Razer DeathAdder

The Razer DeathAdder was released in 2006 and is still to-date the world’s best-selling gaming mouse, used by countless pro gamers in the circuit as their de facto gaming mouse. The new DeathAdder iteration focuses on improving power, performance and control through hardware tweaks and software upgrades.

New York, NY – January 21, 2011—2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today what will be a landmark date in gaming history—legendary hero Duke Nukem will make his triumphant return in Duke Nukem Forever on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC on May 3, 2011 in North America and May 6, 2011 internationally!

Duke Nukem is one of the biggest and most recognizable brands in the interactive entertainment industry. Irreverent, non-PC, and uber macho, Duke Nukem is the perfect, uncompromising ass-kicking hero to remedy the overdose of today’s gaming archetypes. Duke brings his signature brand of babe-lovin’, cigar-smoking, beer-chugging and ass-kicking action as he saves the Earth and its babes from hordes of invading aliens. Where will you be when Duke Nukem Forever launches? Better mark your calendars, Duke’s legend is being told this May and his brand new trailer, viewable at www.dukenukemforever.com, promises to blow your mind!

Players become President Obama (or other world leader) and face current political challenges — budget deficit, Afghanistan, Iran, and global warming.  Will you succeed or will you drive the world into chaos?

Try a fun mini-game on Facebook at http://apps.facebook.com/eversim/; see what type of World Leader you would be!

WEST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT – OCTOBER 5, 2010 – Eversim LLC announced today the release of Rulers of Nations, a comprehensive and challenging PC geo-political simulation which lets players become President Obama or another world leader.  Players are immediately confronted with significant and ever-changing world situations requiring immediate action – just like real life – and they must quickly react to the resulting consequences of their actions.

Which Head of State would you be?

If you were the president, how would you manage the country – same style as President Obama, or would you act more like President Bush?

Try our test of personality and discover your profile as a President on this link http://www.rulers-of-nations.com/minigame/minigame.php?langue=en . You answer 16 multiple choice questions on a wide variety of topics and the game will score your answers.  You will get a final percentage number (50%, 75%, etc.) which shows the chances of your success as a Head of State.

Facebook Mini-game

You can also play the mini-game part of Rulers of Nations on Facebook.

The Rulers of Nations game trailer can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwk2e02kc84etfeature=player_embedded

Among many of today’s real-world challenges in Rulers of Nations are the U.S. deficit, the crises in Afghanistan and Iran, and the persistent problem of global warming.  Other critical issues are creating energy sources from solar to deep-sea oil drilling, managing refugees after a catastrophe, colonizing countries, and buying black market weapons.  Have fun playing in the complicated and challenging scenarios of economic wars, armed conflicts, alliances, spying, treason, and terrorist attacks!

Rulers of Nations, created by using the new Version 2.0 of Eversim’s powerful and most realistic geo-political game engine, is played on a detailed 3D world map showing 8,000 cities in 192 countries in a visually stimulating user interface with multiple windows and on-screen video inserts.  Each country has current data on 400 key factors (economics, energy, monetary, military, etc.) based on current data from 50 international organizations including the United Nations, G20, NATO, NAFTA, and OPEC.

Play solo or with friends (up to 16 online players) and decide if other human or simulated Heads of State are your friends or enemies.  Eversim has cleverly created 3D clones of the heads of major political leaders to add more realism to an already realistic game.   Not only can you play the President, but your avatar looks like him!

Rulers of Nations is available starting today at major US retailers in DVD-ROM format and online in digital format.  Versions in French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian are available today online at www.rulers-of-nations.com .  The English DVD-ROM version is distributed in North America by Enteractive Distribution Company.

New hidden object game is immersive and a touch disturbing, kind of like the book.

I-play recently released a new hidden object game called Classic Adventures: The Great Gatsby. After playing it, I feel a bit like I did after reading The Great Gatsby: a little off-balance. Like the book, the game is fairly quick. I’m a slow player and the first play-through didn’t take more than a few hours—but I can see playing through again.

The game follows the story of The Great Gatsby, so don’t play it before reading the book (instead of or after, but the game includes narration that absolutely spoils key plots points from beginning to end). Ninety percent or so of the game is finding hidden objects in really lovely scenes that include minor animation, such as leaves rustling, and some narration after you’ve found a certain number of objects. There are story-appropriate word puzzles and a few different theme-appropriate minigames, as well as a library you can furnish with your winnings, and in which your gameplay trophies reside.

The lush scenes, period music and classic storyline, complete with casual violence and loathsome characters, actually make for a fun and relaxed experience. The game is replayable, promising to mix up the hidden objects when you change your profile name, but too fast a play-through for the $19.95 price tag (major discounts available with I-play subscription). Facebooky types can post their accomplishments to Facebook, although the game nags only once, and I was very pleased to see that integration is opt-in, not opt-out.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior exposes players to the elements.

In City Interactive’s Sniper: Ghost Warrior, players will have to properly position the perfect headshot under the strain of certain weather conditions, including torrential rain, dense fog and blazing bright sun.

The elements are but one trial that players face, as a host of other challenges are in store. The missions are arduous, and it sup to the sniper to move with stealth and smarts to take down the tango and accomplish his mission objectives.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior hits stores June 8, 2010 for Xbox 360 and the PC.
